Yvette Kuo
Ms. Yvette Kuo is passionate to help students feel the fun in piano playing, reach their full potential, and work towards students’ short and long term goals in their musical journey. She accepts students of all levels and ages and offers traditional instructions that incorporates trainings for reading music, sight-reading, theory and ear-training, harmonization and improvisation. Her lessons aim to create a fun learning environment, while setting expectations and emphasizes discipline, so student’s learning journey are effective and beneficial in the long run.

Lessons are tailored to each student’s interest and goals, so the joy of piano playing could be enjoyed by musicians of all capacities. She identifies students’ musical strengths and learning styles, to plan each students’ curriculum accordingly, and provides strategic solutions towards difficulties in their learning process.

Students in Ms. Kuo’s piano studio will have the opportunity to showcase their talent at the yearly studio recital, and access to level exams through the Royal Conservatory of Music Certificate Program.
Born in Taiwan and raised in Singapore, pianist Yvette Kuo began her piano studies at the age of four. Ms. Kuo attended School of the Arts Singapore, she graduated with great honors from University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, with a Bachelor of Music degree, studying with Dr. Dror Biran. Ms. Kuo is currently pursuing her Master of Music degree at CCM, under the tutelage of Prof. Ran Dank.
Ms. Kuo was a third prize winner at the 2012 Taiwan-Asia International Piano competition, and was awarded first prize at the School of the Arts Piano Concerto Competition. She has performed as a soloist with the Switzerland based Zurich Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Ms. Kuo offers piano lessons conducted in English and Mandarin Chinese.
