Katie Spjut created the curriculum and teaches the Musical Explorers and Mini Musicians classes at LMA. Katie has a Bachelor of Science with a licensure in Special Education and minor in music from Brigham Young University where she studied oboe and English Horn with Geralyn Giovannetti. In 2005 she earned a Master of Education in Teaching and Learning degree from the University of Utah. She is a member of the Keyboard Teachers Association and currently operates a private piano studio in Loveland. Katie has enjoyed playing in community bands, orchestras, and pit orchestras for the last 30 years. She is the mother of four and a current member of the Cincinnati Community Orchestra.
