Scott Higgins

Scott-Corrected.jpg

Scott was influenced from as long as he can remember by his dad playing Neil Young on his guitar in the family room.  He started learning from his dad as soon as he could hold a guitar! By age 7 he was taking private lessons and by 14 had started a band and began performing live at local venues. He has played in original rock, folk/blues and wedding bands over the last 25 years!

Scott loves teaching acoustic and electric guitar, electric bass and ukulele. Part of his focus is helping students with the performance aspects of music.

Over the past decade Scott has been teaching and mentoring kids and adults the gift of music in the Tri-State area. His energy and fun approach keep learning interesting! When asked, what’s the best thing about teaching, Scott said “It’s about communicating and connecting with your students.”

In his free time, Scott enjoys spending time with his family and animals on his Hobby farm. He likes to garden, hike and enjoy nature!
