Mary Elizabeth Nerren of Johnson City, Tennessee is a collaborative pianist and private music teacher based in Cincinnati, Ohio. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Lee University and has taught private music lessons from a young age. Mary was named the 2021-22 Presser Scholar of Lee University, winner of the 2021 Charleston International Music Competition, winner of the 2019 Blair Academy for the Arts Grand Virtuoso Piano Competition, and second prize winner of the 2019 Nashville Steinway Artist Junior Piano Competition. In 2017, she participated in winning the MTNA Nationals Piano Duet competition as a result of winning the 2017 Regionals and 2016 State MTNA piano duet competitions. She is a full-time graduate assistant at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music while pursuing a Master of Music in Collaborative Piano. Her skills involve vocal coaching, chamber music, beginning violin instruction and solo piano. As a teacher, she seeks to inspire students to pursue excellence in music and share it with others.
