Kat Starry is a piano and voice instructor at Loveland Music Academy, bringing a lifelong passion for music and a uniquely adaptable, hands-on teaching style to her students. Her musical journey began at age nine with intensive classical piano training under Linda Bergholz, eventually transitioning into extensive professional accompaniment work for choirs, church services, weddings, and graduations.

With decades of experience performing in collaborative church settings—alongside a background in violin—Kat possesses a rich, interconnected understanding of how foundational musical skills build upon one another.

Kat specializes in introductory music education, focusing her talents on beginner piano students and very young singers. Drawing from her personal lived experience as a nontraditional learner, she intentionally rejects "one-size-fits-all" methods. Instead, Kat tailors every single lesson to naturally match each student's individual strengths, unique energy, and attention style.

Outside the studio, Kat loves spending quality time with her children, exploring new subjects, watching summer rainstorms and hanging out with her cats.
