Robert Doughty / Student of the Month

Congratulations to Robert Doughty for earning student of the month.

Robert has taken guitar lessons at Loveland Music Academy for several years and his progress during that time has been incredible. To see him perform “Tangerine” by Led Zeppelin please follow this link: https://vimeo.com/43936853

In “Tangerine” Robert is playing an acoustic 12 string guitar and, as you can see, his playing sounds extremely professional. The students’ cover of “Tangerine” wouldn’t have been possible without Robert’s hard work.

We wish Robert well as he goes off to college after the summer. His positive attitude and musical talents will be greatly missed!
Photos of the Students Recording Tangerine by Led Zeppelin

In late May the students recorded a fantastic rendition of “Tangerine” by Led Zeppelin. To see the video please follow this link: https://vimeo.com/43936853

A big thanks goes out to Nick Inglin and John Quinto for taking incredible photos of the session.

LMA MOST ADORABLE PET CONTEST
Ok, we all know that OUR pet is the cutest ever–now is your chance to have others verify that!
Winter brings a lot of donations, but summer is rough for the L.I.F.E. Food Pantry–they are running short on supplies to stock their shelves, so we’re having a fun contest where the “votes” are non-perishable items.
This is how it works:
Two Categories: Faculty Pets and Student Pets
Students–send a picture of your pet to lovelandmusicacademy@gmail.com. The photo needs to be of the pet ONLY–you can’t be in it! Include in the email your pets’ name, your name, your email address, and your phone number. The Faculty will vote on them and choose 5 or 6 of the pets determined to the be “cutest”, then you’ll get to vote. The voting is the fun part–there will be a photo of each pet above a box in the entry stairwell downstairs. Each “vote” is a non-perishable item (canned soups, vegetables, fruit, etc., spaghetti sauce, pasta, canned meats, cereal, syrup, jelly, etc.) or hygienic products (toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, soap, etc.). Place the item in the box beneath the photo, and the pets with the most “votes” wins a giftcard to PetSmart and a photo of you and your pet on the LMA website and in the LMA newsletter. Yes, you may enter more than one pet if you have more than one and can’t decide between them–and it isn’t limited to cats and dogs–rabbits, guinea pigs, etc. are all welcome!
Faculty–you’ll get a chance to vote on the “Teachers’ Pets” as well! Their pets will have boxes alongside yours.
You may vote as many times as you wish–the biggest winner, of course, will be the L.I.F.E. Pantry and their clients.
Deadline for entries–Monday, June 25th. Voting will be July 1st-13th. “Votes” will be counted and bagged on the 14th and 15th and the winners posted on the 16th after the bags are taken to L.I.F.E.
